What comes next for casino gambling around the state and in Everett?

NECN business editor Peter Howe says that the immediate next step is for the proposal to add an environmental impact report and address the rise of traffic to the area.

Carl Jenkins, the managing director with Duff and Phelps, spoke about why he believes a casino in Massachusetts has a better chance of prevailing than one in Atlantic City does.

"We also have a much better infrastructure than what we're talking about in Atlantic City," Jenkins said. "We have an international airport, we have tourist destinations."

Jenkins also discussed the next steps for Boston Mayor Marty Walsh.

The people of Massachusetts will vote on repealing the state's casino law in Nov.
