A Boston establishment has been named one of the nation's best new bars of 2014 by Thrillist.

Wink & Nod, located at 3 Appleton St. in Boston's South End, made the food, drink and travel website's list of "The 21 Best New Bars in America." It was the only New England bar to make the list.

"Its lounge area looks like the den of your wealthy, weird, and eclectic aunt, and that's not a bad thing," Thrillist said of Wink & Nod. "The food comes courtesy of Bread & Salt, and features serious moves like Chatham mussels with lemongrass curry broth and a charred beef tartare with tomalley aioli But you'll want to dance longest with the drinks... which they separate into "Up," "Down," and "Tiki..."
