Bruce Springsteen Stops Concert for Marriage Proposal

Springsteen serenaded the couple to "Jersey Girl"

Bruce Springsteen stopped his show to invite a couple on stage during his concert at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey Thursday night, “Today” reported.

Springsteen stopped singing after he noticed something going on by the side of the stage. His guitarist, Steven Van Zandt, pointed to his ring finger, indicating the couple got engaged mid performance.

The couple, who has been together for eight years celebrated their engagement on stage.

“This is my girlfriend, Jill," the groom-to-be said after Springsteen handed him the mic. "We've been to a ton of shows together. This is by far the highlight of them all."

They stayed onstage as Springsteen serenaded them to the rest of “Jersey Girl” as they slow-danced and took selfies.
