One man has died and three others were injured in a shooting outside of a Fenway Park bar overnight Thursday, police confirm.
Investigators say around 2 a.m., officers on patrol in the area heard gunshots, and responded to Who's on First at 19 Yawkey Way, seeing several hundred people flee the area.
Police say one victim, identified by MBTA Commuter Rail operator KEOLIS as Jephthe Chery, a 29-year-old Commuter Rail conductor, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other victims, also identified as men in their 20s, were taken to Boston-area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries, police add. Two of the surviving victims are "well-known" to Boston police, investigators said.
Boston Mayor Marty Walsh told necn that the victim who died was on his way to work, and that he was beloved by his coworkers.
The violence in Boston "has to stop," Walsh said.
"It's unfortunate that his mother had to get a phone call early this morning letting her know he won't be there today for Thanksgiving," Walsh said.
City officials expressed anger Thursday morning, saying that Who's on First has been a problem in the past and that something needs to be done about it. There was another incident involving the bar earlier this year when two women were shot.

"There's one particular establishment, we got to find out what's going wrong. We got to change either who's running that place or something, but that's a nuisance place that we have to work on," Commissioner William Evans said.
Who's on First remained closed at noon. No one came to the door when necn knocked, and necn has not received a response to repeated interview requests.
