1 Injured After MBTA Van Rollover

One person was transported to a nearby hospital after an MBTA transportation van for disabled community members rolled over in Saugus, Massachusetts, Monday morning.

One person is injured and one person has been summonsed to court after an MBTA transportation van for disabled community members collided with a pickup truck and rolled over in Saugus, Massachusetts, Monday morning.

The male passenger who is estimated to be around 50 years old was conscious and alert when he was transported from the intersection of Walnut Street and Birchwood Avenue around 9:35 a.m.

"The Ride" van was carrying two passengers when it rolled over as the result of a collision with a pickup truck. The operator of the truck was summonsed to court for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

The other passenger and the van's operator were not injured, nor was the sole occupant of the pickup truck.

The accident is under investigation.
