Two people have been arrested in connection with what federal authorities call a large-scale indoor marijuana growing operation in Providence, Rhode Island.
The FBI executed multiple search warrants on Wednesday at a converted mill building on Branch Avenue and found about 1,400 marijuana plants growing inside numerous vacant apartments and offices. Authorities also found another 100 plants in a Valley Street home.
The FBI also sized a gun and about $14,000 in cash.
Authorities arrested 35-year-old Richard Yang and 69-year-old William Ricci. Yank faces drug charges and Ricci faces a gun charge.
Both men were released after an initial court appearance on Thursday.
