High Bail Set for 2 Accused of Shooting at Police in Boston

It happened Tuesday afternoon in Boston's Roslindale neighborhood

A Boston man authorities say held a gun to an undercover police officer's head, and an accomplice allegedly involved in an exchange of gunfire with police, have both been held on $500,000 bail.

Prosecutors said in court Wednesday that Eric Rosado-Gonzalez pulled a gun on an officer and threatened to kill him in a robbery attempt on Tuesday night.

Authorities say Luis Colon then opened fire at another undercover officer and police returned fire. No one was struck.

Prosecutors say the undercover police had arranged to meet the suspects for a gun buy in the city's Roslindale section.

Both men were arrested after searches in the neighborhood.

Defense lawyers said they had not seen evidence that police recovered guns from either suspect.
