    Two pedestrians were hit by a car Thursday in Franklin, Massachusetts.

    Two pedestrians were hit by a car Friday in Franklin, Massachusetts.

    Police confirm the victims were struck while crossing East Central Street just after 6 p.m.

    Matt Desilets saw two women, both dressed in black, one with a prosthetic leg, get hit by a red Volvo.

    "When she got hit, she got smashed by the bumper and the window," Desilets said.  "She flew over, and the other lady she was with got her leg ran over."

    One victim was taken to Milford Hospital, and the other was taken to Rhode Island Hospital. The nature of the injuries was not immediately clear.

    Authorities confirm the driver remained on the scene after the crash.

    Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
