    Police responded overnight to a report that two people had been shot during a home invasion in Saco, Maine.

    The caller was identified as Steven R. Chabot, 55, of 25 Hillview Ave.

    Authorities found Chabot suffering from multiple gunshot wounds that he sustained from an unknown intruder.

    Officers also found a woman, identified as Rachel M. Owens, 55, of Londonderry, NH, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

    Both victims were transported to Maine Medical Center for treatment.

    Police say Carol Chabot, 55, the wife of Steven, was uninjured in the attack. Steven and Carol sought refuge in separate rooms upon being confronted by the armed intruder.

    The incident remains under investigation.
