Baby Revived After Car Accident on Route 95 in Mass.

(NECN: John Moroney, Norwood, Mass.) - A baby who authorities thought had died in a car accident in Walpole, Mass. has been revived.

The accident occurred just before 1 p.m. Saturday on the southbound side of Route 95. The single- car accident involved a 2007 Honda Accord, according to police, and backed up traffic for hours. Officials still can't say why or how the car went off the road.

Two adults, a 5-year-old boy and a 15-month-old boy were in the car.

Police initially said the youngest child died as a result of the accident. Later, officials released a statement saying the child had been revived. Now, both children are receiving treatment at Children's Hospital in Boston.

The adults were taken to Brigham and Women's Hospital. No word on their condition at this time.

The crash is still under investigation.
