(NECN: John Moroney, South Boston) - Saint Patrick's Day in South Boston. It's the only place to be on March 17, even if you're not Irish.
The parade is one of the best in the country with thousands of people lining the streets dressed in the color of the day: green. Bridget Lydon was back home and back on West Broadway this year after missing the last several parades while on duty for the US Navy.
It was a bit cool along the parade route. The crowds were big and well behaved. A perfect day to celebrate Saint Patrick's Day in South Boston.
