Braude Beat: Fla. Man Implicates Self, Tsarnaev in Waltham, Mass. Killings

(NECN) - Broadside host Jim Braude weighs in on the day's top stories.

Sources tell NBC News the Florida man, Ibragim Todashev, killed during an FBI questioning admitted he and Tamerlan Tsarnaev participated in 2011 murder of three people in a Waltham, Mass. apartment.

The twist in events raises questions in relation to the Boston Marathon bombings. First, how aggressively did police in Waltham, Mass. pursue leads at the time? Braude says that if Tsarnaev is in fact responsible, had officials pursued and arrested him, the bombing wouldn't have occurred.

Also, Thursday the public learned two of the suspects in the gruesome killing of a British soldier near London had previous been investigated by officials. Is there an eerie similarity to the Boston Marathon bombings where suspect Tsarnaev had been on the FBI's radar?

Braude also talks about President Obama's conference Thursday where he tackled several controversial topics related to the fight against terrorism.

Watch the above video for all of Braude's insights.
