(NECN) - Police in Salisbury, Mass., are searching for a bank robber who sparked an evacuation.
Police say the robber walked into the Institution for Savings on Bridge Road late Friday afternoon. He had a box wrapped in electrical tape and told the teller it was a bomb.
They say the person then robbed the bank and took off.
State police bomb techs were called in, but determined the package was harmless.
The bank and a gas station next door were evacuated for hours.
The robber is believed to have left in a white truck with New Hampshire plates.
