The death of a 2-month-old Weymouth, Massachusetts girl has been confirmed by the Norfolk District Attorney’s office.
The infant passed away in her family’s hotel room on Thursday. An autopsy showed no signs of foul play.
The Department of Children and Families was notified per protocol in a child death.
“The Department is deeply saddened by this news. DCF had recently opened a case with this family when this tragic incident occurred. We received a report and the investigation is ongoing in coordination with law enforcement," said the organization in a statement.
