2nd Person Dies in Hit-and-Run

Police say 46-year-old George Burdick died on Tuesday after he was placed on life support

A second person is dead after a hit-and-run in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Police say 46-year-old George Burdick died on Tuesday after he was placed on life support. His sister, 48-year-old Gina Burdick, of Worcester, died at the scene Saturday.

The driver, 29-year-old Daniel Depew, of Ayer, was arraigned Monday in Worcester District Court on charges including motor-vehicle homicide, drunken driving and leaving the scene of an accident.

Police say Depew was driving a black Dodge Charger and fled after striking the siblings, who were unloading groceries Saturday night. Prosecutors say Gina Burdick was dragged more than 200 yards under Depew's car as witnesses shouted for him to stop and that he went back to the scene three minutes later.

Depew is being held without bail. He is due back in court Oct. 27. It's unknown if he has an attorney.
