Some necn viewers decided to stop by New Hampshire's Liquid Planet Water Park Monday night to see if owner Kevin Dumont was still chained to the top of the 30-foot slide and to their amazement, he was!
Melissa Gates, her brother, Dan, and her brother's girlfriend, Ang stopped by because they didn't think Kevin would still be chained up there.
Melissa told us, "We were joking that he probably did it for publicity and is home warm in bed. Then we decided we were going to prove it one way or the other."
She added, "I didn't believe this guy would seriously still be up there at night when no one was around to see him."
Kevin was surprised to see people at the top of the slide but "was very thankful for the hot coffee we brought him", according to Melissa.
Kevin explained that he is determined to save the water park as a place for families to "build memories."
Melissa, Dan, and Ang were so impressed by Kevin's determination and passion that they decided to celebrate Dan's birthday next week at the top of the water slide with Kevin.
