Free Adele Show in Quincy? Not So Much…

MBTA Transit Police are warning people not to show up at the Quincy T station after a fake Facebook event was created announcing an impromptu show

Sorry, folks - Adele is not playing a free pop-up concert at the Quincy MBTA station.

MBTA Transit Police are warning people not to show up at the Quincy T station after a Facebook event was created announcing an impromptu Adele show on Wednesday.

A Facebook event created by "Usual Suspects" says that Adele will be performing with guest Train (get it?) at 6 p.m. on Wednesday at the Quincy Center MBTA station. The page includes a photoshopped image of Adele in front of the T station.

As of Tuesday morning, more than 900 people had expressed an interest in attending. Several people even posted messages asking how to obtain tickets.

"Usual Suspects" has also posted fake event listings on Facebook in recent months for a Digital Underground rap concert at the Weymouth Burger King and a Red Hot Chili Peppers, Korn and Cranberries show at the Weymouth Whole Foods.

While Adele won't be in Quincy, the singer is scheduled to perform on Wednesday and Thursday at the TD Garden.
