Police arrested a Chelmsford, Massachusetts, man peacefully following an armed standoff at his home Monday evening.
Officials received a call to Jason Cleghorn’s home at 8:40 for a report of an assault with a firearm. Upon arrival they were met by three repo men who told police that they were there to repossess a vehicle.
The told police they heard loud music coming from the garage, knocked on the door and that Cleghorn, 36, came out holding a handgun, which he allegedly pointed at one of the men.
The repo men called police. Cleghorn, who had two other people with him, went inside and refused to come out.
A S.W.A.T. team was dispatched to the home among other officials. After negotiation, Cleghorn came out from the home and was arrested.
No one was injured in the incident.
Cleghorn was charged with assault by means of a dangerous weapon and will be arraigned Tuesday in Chelmsford District Court.
