A “furry visitor” was seen running around Marlborough, Massachusetts on Wednesday before being returned to safety.
Marlborough police heard reports of the bear running into traffic near the downtown area of the city, according to their Facebook page.
The Massachusetts Environmental Police was able to safely tranquilize the bear and move it to another location.
The bear was put on ice to keep its body temperature down, since tranquilizers can affect the internal temperature of animals.
The bear woke up “perfectly healthy,” according to police.
