Resident Dana Van Fleet took video of his street after the 11 am high tide.

The ocean water was so high, it made Ocean Street and residential neighborhoods impassable, came half way up a basketball hoop, and poured into a nearby home.

"My house was an island, I couldn't get out my back or my front porch" said Lana Ruel, who's lived in Marshfield on South Street for 30 years.

She was was checking on her car, which she relocated safely to a nearby church.

Marshfield Police said at one point there were several road closures.

All roads have since reopened.

They say there was no reported major damage, and no power outages.

By evening utility crews were scanning neighborhoods looking for any downed wires.

"It's not as bad as last year, I mean January last year was the worst I've ever seen it, this is the probably the second worst, so it's pretty bad," said Rick Daneault, another Marshfield Resident.
