Car Crashes Into Pet Food Store

The incident happened at Food for Pets on Main Street around 8:30 a.m.

A car crashed through the storefront of a Manchester, New Hampshire, pet food store Monday morning.

The accident happened at Food for Pets, near the intersection of South Main and Woodbury Streets.

The operator of a Nissan Altima, Diane Lombardo, 51, of Manchester was struck by another vehicle as she proceeded through the intersection.

Lombardo was driving behind a school bus when a second vehicle, operated by Janet Turcotte, 78, also of Manchester, proceeded west on Woodbury St.

Lombardo did not realize her light had turned red as she was continuing through the intersection. Turcotte proceeded onto South Main St., hitting Lombardo's car.

The impact caused Lombardo to lose control of her vehicle, hiting the store.

The owner of the store said he was thankful that the store wasn't open and that no one was hurt.

Lombardo was issued a summons for a red light violation.
