Looks like the clouds stuck around after a gloomy Memorial Day Monday.

A few areas some fog and light drizzle earlier this morning, but all of New England can expect to see the clouds to linger throughout the day today.

A few rounds of showers are expected to slide into northwest New England. Through the early evening, some of showers could carry embedded stronger thunderstorms into Vermont and northern New Hampshire, so be mindful of that if you have outdoor plans in that area through the afternoon and evening.

Some of those thunderstorms could produce an isolated severe storm with the biggest concern being wind damage and possibly hail. Otherwise, temperatures today will vary from 50s along the coastline thanks to a seabreeze, to 60s farther inland.

Overnight, there’s a slight chance for a brief shower, rest of the night cloudy with lows into the 40s and 50s.

This unsettled pattern will continue through the rest of this week, but at least we will see some breaks of sunshine Wednesday before another round of showers and embedded thunderstorms slide in by the afternoon and evening, but at least highs will be warmer than the past couple of days. Highs tomorrow reach into the 70s.

The rest of the work week also include highs into the 70s, with Thursday likely scattered showers and thunderstorms in the morning, with drying by the late afternoon. Friday also has chances of rain by the afternoon.

The first full weekend of June includes highs near 70 with on and off chances for showers, especially for southern New England both weekend days.

Next Monday also includes rain chances along with Tuesday, but we could finally break the soggy pattern the following Wednesday and Thursday with more sunshine than clouds and rain, which will help warm up the temperatures into the mid to upper 70s.
