A New Hampshire boy suffers from a serious facial injury after he was bit by a dog over the weekend, according to the Sentinel Source.
The boy, 5, was bitten by an 8-year-old greyhound, which was lying on the couch near to where the boy was playing, according to Winchester Police. The incident happened in a home on Woodard Ave. on Sunday.
The boy reportedly got close to the dog and the dog bit the boy's face, causing a wound to his cheek and neck.
The boy was transported by Winchester ambulance to Cheshire Medical Center in Keene.
The dog will be quarantined pending the completion of an investigation.
Neither the name of the boy nor the homeowner has been made available.
