Cops: Man Killed in Industrial Accident

The incident happened around 9 a.m. on Charles Colton Road

A 24-year-old man was killed in an industrial accident in Massachusetts Friday morning, authorities confirm.

The incident happened just before 9 a.m. at the Myles Standsh Industrial Complex on Charles Colton Road in Taunton.

Bristol D.A.'s Office says the victim, identified as Nicholas Dumont of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, was part of a construction crew building a warehouse. Dumont was working 40 feet in the air on part of the warehouse's framing when he fell, and died shortly after from traumatic injuries, according to the D.A.

The D.A. adds that Dumont's death appears to be an accident and not foul play, and that OSHA is investigating.
