Delays Reported for Second Day in a Row on the MBTA's Red Line

The delays were due to a disabled train at JFK/UMass

Delays were reported on the MBTA's Red Line for the second day in a row.

According to the agency, the delays were due to a disabled train at JFK/UMass as well as a signal problem.

Riders were unhappy with the delays and took to social media to share their frustrations.

@Patriot_Reign tweeted "@MBTA Been on redline last 25 minutes-zero announcements #mbta"

"Stuck on the #RedLine it's way too hot for this...#MBTA" tweeted Kris Kream.

Shortly after 7 p.m., the MBTA tweeted that regular service on the Red Line had resumed.

On Monday afternoon, there were severe delays reported on the Red Line due to a power problem at the Broadway station.

The Green Line also experienced delays Monday morning due to a signal issue.
