East Lyme Police Seek Suspect in Attempted Home Invasion

    East Lyme police are asking for the public’s help to identify a person they say tried to force his way into a home Thursday night.

    Police said the suspect knocked on the door of a Flanders Road apartment between 9:20 p.m. and 9:40 p.m. When the occupant answered the door the suspect tried to enter the home, according to police. The victim reported that the individual had a baseball bat and a gun.

    The suspect is described as male, between 5-foot-1 and 5-foot-6 and around 150 pounds. He was wearing all black with a black knit mask, according to police.
