A large, complex storm is bringing near blizzard conditions to the Rockies and parts of the Plains, while tornadoes touch down not far away.

As of Tuesday afternoon, many towns near Denver have already picked up over a foot of snow. Meanwhile, on Monday night, tornadoes touched down from the Texas panhandle up through Kansas.

All of that is associated with a storm and cold front that will head towards us later in the week. It will arrive in a weakened fashion, however.

Quiet weather will continue for New England on Wednesday, although clouds will increase from west to east.

It will also become breezy, and a touch milder too. Conditions should improve during Friday afternoon before cooler air works its way in for the weekend.

Some snow is likely on Sunday, particularly across the high terrain of Northern New England.
