Witness: Victim in Boston Common Stabbing Threw Blood at People

A man was stabbed Thursday afternoon on Boston Common Thursday, police confirmed.

The victim's injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Police taped off part of the common by the Park Street MBTA stop where the incident happened.

A witness told necn the victim was harassing people and throwing blood at them.

"He was stabbed, it looked like, in the back and right in the chest. He was wearing a white shirt, it was completely covered in blood, and he was still going nuts on everyone," said Jeremy Sattig. "The cops had to handcuff him just to calm him down. I mean, I hope he's OK."

No information about the victim's identity was immediately available. Police did not say whether or not a suspect was in custody.
