Man Arrested After Pointing Gun at Motorist in Road Rage Incident

A New Hampshire man was arrested on Friday after he allegedly pointed a gun at another motorist.

Peter Benson, 48, of Contoocook, was reportedly driving a gray Ford F-150 on Interstate 293 in Manchester around 8:15 a.m. Friday when he became involved in a road rage incident with another motorist and pointed a handgun at him.

A state police trooper working a construction detail saw the suspect vehicle pass him traveling south on I-293 by Exit 4. He followed the vehicle for a short distance, and stopped the vehicle with the assistance of other troopers.

A search of Benson's vehicle located two loaded handguns. He was arrested for reckless conduct and criminal threatening.
