A man who previously served a sentence for assaulting a child has been charged in connection to the assault of the same child.
On Sept. 15, police in Keene, New Hampshire, responded to the Cheshire Hospital Emergency Room to investigate the assault of a 2 year old. As result of the investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for Duke Pete, 28.
Pete is charged with second degree assault and causing bodily injury to a child under 13.
Pete was on probation as he previously pleaded guilty to simple assault and endangering the welfare of a child after fracturing the same child's femur on July 26, 2012. He had been released from jail on May 19, 2014.
Pete will be arraigned in Keene District Court on Thursday.
The case remains under investigation
