A Milford, Massachusetts, man who stalked the city's police chief and deputy police chief over a two-year period has been sentenced to up to 2 ½ years in prison.
The Telegram & Gazette reports that Dominick Cristino was also sentenced Monday to two years of probation following his conviction last week on two counts of stalking.
Prosecutors say the 50-year-old Cristino followed the vehicles of Chief Thomas O'Loughlin and Deputy Chief James Heron earlier this year, recorded their activities, and posted the videos on his Facebook page with commentary that included veiled threats of violence.
Authorities say Cristino was angry over perceived "injustices" against him.
Cristino said he was just exercising his First Amendment rights.
Prosecutors dropped two counts of witness intimidation.
