A Waterville, Maine, man who authorities said admitted to trafficking cocaine and heroin has been sentenced to 12 years behind bars.
The Kennebec Journal reports 30-year-old Brian Danaher was sentenced Monday at the Capital Judicial Center in Augusta. He pleaded guilty in December to two counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs.
Five other drug-related charges and one count of endangering the welfare of a child were dismissed as part of the plea deal.
Prosecutors say police raided Danaher's apartment in August and found cocaine base, pills, heroin and thousands of dollars in a bedroom where he and his 5-year-old daughter slept.
Prosecutors say Danaher admitted to buying drugs for cheap from Portland and bringing them to Waterville for resale at more than double the price.
