Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey is questioning the length of Patriots quarterback Tom Brady's punishment in the Deflategate scandal.

Comparing Brady's punishment to the initial punishment handed down by the NFL against Baltimore Ravens' running back Ray Rice, which was suspension for half as many games for hitting his then-fiancee, Healey said the league needs to focus on more important things than under-inflated footballs.

"I think priorities are not where they need to be when it comes to this particular league, and I think they really need to do an awful lot of work on the issues of domestic violence and sexual assault," Healey said, adding, "We've seen case after case, incident after incident, and as I say, I wish we spent a tenth of a time talking about those issues and the very real problem of domestic violence and sexual assault rampant in the league. They need more education, more outreach, they need more accountability. And instead, we're talking about air pressure and soft pigskin."

Officials announced Monday that Brady would be suspended for the first four games of the 2015 season. The Patriots were also fined $1 million and lost draft picks.
