Massachusetts State Police Trooper David M. Timperio has died suddenly at age 50.
Timperio was assigned to the Government Center Barracks and was a member of the 75th Recruit Training Troop, which graduated from the State Police Academy in December 2000.
During his career, he also served assignments at the Leominster and Boston Barracks and served more than seven years in the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit.
Timperio leaves behind a wife and two children.
It is currently unclear if Timperio was on duty at the time of his death. Police say he died of a medical episode.
