Cameras that were installed last week at select locations in Newburyport, Massachusetts, remain a mystery to city officials.
According to newburyportnews.com, the cameras were installed on poles downtown.
Police, city planners and other city officials say they have no clue where the cameras came from.
The cameras may remain a mystery, however, as they were taken down without notice overnight Sunday.
A camera crew was in the area to film a Connecticut lottery commercial, but it is unknown if that filming is related.
