Police Arrest Woman in Connection to Cemetery Shooting

Police say a Massachusetts woman has been arrested in connection with the death of a man who was shot while visiting the grave of a close friend.

Police arrested 24-year-old Ashley Forget, of Leicester, on Wednesday for allegedly giving false information. They say she attempted to mislead investigators.

David Luyando was shot in the head last week at Hope Cemetery in Worcester.

Luyando's aunt said that the 22-year-old was at the cemetery with three other family members to bring flowers to the grave of Javier Santiago.

She said Luyando and the others found that Santiago's tombstone had disappeared. That's when people drove by in a car and fired shots at the group, hitting Luyando.

The death is Worcester's fourth homicide this year.

Police are continuing to investigate.
