A driver has died after his car went off an Interstate 93 exit ramp in Methuen, Massachusetts, ending up in a rotary on Route 110 eastbound.
The driver, identified Friday as Timothy Reinwald, 49, of Beverly, went off the ramp from the southbound highway, across the road and up a mound of dirt in a rotary.
The man was unresponsive when first responders got to him. He was taken to Lawrence General Hospital, where he later died.
State police say exit 46 on I-93 and Route 110 eastbound have been temporarily closed. Drivers are being warned to avoid the area.
Authorities say it is unclear whether the driver had suffered a medical emergency or why his car left the exit ramp.
