Police say a car slammed into a concrete light pole, knocking it onto an SUV Saturday afternoon in Somerville, Massachusetts.
Massachusetts State Police say 45-year-old Mark Carini of Plympton took a left turn from Medford Street onto Route 28. When he took the turn, he hit the pole in the median, knocking it onto a 2004 Ford Escape that was stopped at a light on the other side of the road.
No one was injured in the crash, which took place around 3:20 p.m.
The parked Escape was damaged, as was a 2014 Mercedes-Benz, which was hit by part of the light.
No charges have been filed at this time.
