Police Investigating Home Invasion in Wayland, Mass.

Police are investigating a home invasion in Wayland, Massachusetts.

Police cruiser dash cam video in Wayland, Massachusetts, captures a "person of interest" in a home invasion walking down West Plain Street around 9:30 Sunday night.

Fifteen minutes later, police say a man walked through an unlocked door of a nearby home, grabbed a 23-year-old woman, until she screamed to alert others in the house. He then ran off in an unknown direction.

Now police are looking for him, and have released a sketch of a "person of interest."

EJ Nicholas lives nearby. He says he was taking out the trash Sunday night when he heard police cars driving by.

He says "three of them literally just came together in a matter of seconds."

Nicholas commended police for their fast response. Other neighbors say the whole situation is frightening.

"I just live two blocks up from here and am amazed there would be a home invasion," said Mary Marshall.

The victim was not hurt, but Wayland police say, in the process, she grabbed the man's shirt and ripped it off. Police say he ran off on foot, shirtless and wearing dark shorts.

He's described as a male, 5'9", with a tall husky build, and short blonde hair.

Natick Police also helped with their canine unit. They were able to track the man down Main Street towards Natick before the scent was lost.
