Three women reported being indecently assaulted after ordering a rideshare service this weekend alone in Boston

Police in Boston are warning residents when it comes to using transportation services, three women reported being indecently assaulted after ordering a car transportation service this weekend alone.

The reported incidents all happened in or near Boston's Dorchester neighborhood.

The first assault happened just before 1 a.m. Sunday. The victim said she was indecently assaulted by her driver.

Boston Police would not identify which rideshare service the victim was using. This assault happened in the area of Dorchester Avenue and Columbia Road in Boston. The victim said the driver offered her money and then touched her inappropriately. While that was happening, the victim said she received a text from her actual rideshare driver stating that he had arrived to pick her up.

The victim said at that point she got out of the car quickly and called police. Boston Police were unable to find the suspect vehicle.

The second indecent assault happened around 2:35 that same morning, this time outside the victim’s Commonwealth Avenue home. Once the victim got inside the car, she said the operator made attempts to touch her inappropriately.
