A Framingham, Massachusetts official has killed a suspected rabid fox after it attacked several people and animals.
Police told the MetroWest Daily News that Animal Control Officer William Sage captured and killed the fox late Thursday afternoon behind an office building off Route 9. The animal's head is being brought to state labs in Boston for testing to confirm it had rabies.
Police say the fox attacked a police officer, a health aide, a third person, a dog and a cat within a 12-hour period.
Authorities were called to the office building off Route 9 at about 5 p.m. after the fox bit the health aide, who was helping a person in a wheelchair.
The conditions of the people and animals attacked weren't disclosed.
