Police in Nashua, New Hampshire, are investigating after a girl was approached by a man while walking to school.

The student of Pennichuck Junior High reported that while walking in the area of 286 Manchester St. a silver, four-door sedan pulled up alongside her.

Within the vehicle was a man, described as being between 30-40 years old with curly brown hair and a larger nose. There was also a small, tan dog with curly hair.

The student says that the male asked her if she wanted to pet the dog, and when she refused, the vehicle left the area.

There was no attempt to force the child into the vehicle.

Officers are on alert for suspicious motor vehicles. Anyone with information is asked to call: (603) 594-3500.
