Water Main Breaks in Boston's South End

Authorities shut down traffic and water service to three buildings.

Crews were working to repair a water main that broke Sunday morning in Boston's South end.

The brake happened on Albany Street near Interstate 93 around 6 a.m.

Authorities shut down traffic and water service to three area buildings.

The Boston Water and Sewer Commission said they still do not know the cause of the break. 

By Sunday afternoon, the water main had been repaired but the road was expected to be shut down until Monday.
