New England is playing a prominent role on the first day of the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.
Nine speakers on Monday's agenda are from the region, including U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders, who has endorsed former rival and presumptive nominee Hillary Clinton.
Also on the docket are Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Rep. Joe Kennedy III and former Rep. Barney Frank, all of Massachusetts; Boston Mayor Marty Walsh; Connecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy and Sen. Jeanne Shaheen of New Hampshire.
Actress and comedian Sarah Silverman, a New Hampshire native, will also speak, as will Pam Livengood, a Keene resident who will discuss her daughter's struggle with addiction.
