Officer Richard Donohue was nearly killed in a shootout with the Boston Marathon bombing suspects

(NECN) - If the Boston Bruins need any extra inspiration against the Pittsburgh Penguins in game 3 Wednesday night, they'll find it in the pre-game ceremonies.

MBTA Police Officer Richard Donohue will wave the Bruins flag from the ice on the Garden before the game.

Donohue survived after nearly dying from his injuries in the shootout with the marathon bombing suspects.
