Several New England communities were affected by severe weather on Sunday.
Strong winds from thunderstorms caused damage by uprooting trees and knocking down branches and wires in many areas of Massachusetts including Boston, Jamaica Plain, Lexington, Concord and Ware.
A tree fell on top of a man in Leominster, Massachusetts. There was no word on the extent of his injuries.
In Newmarket, New Hampshire, a large tree fell on top of some gravestones at a cemetery.
In Methuen, Massachusetts, fire officials said a house caught fire when a downed wire fell on top of it. The blaze was not considered serious.
In all, there were more than 100 wind damage reports across New England, according to meteorologist Chris Gloninger.
By 6 p.m., about 2,500 customers in Massachusetts were still without power. Another 2,700 customers were without power in New Hampshire.
