Hartford Receives Record Snowfall

(NECN) - Connecticut governor Dan Malloy says his state is open for business today after a direct hit from the blizzard.

Malloy says the storm may be responsible for two deaths in Connecticut.

Hartford received 24 inches of snow-- a new record for the city.

Meantime, state police were busy yesterday, responding to nearly a thousand spinouts, accidents and stranded vehicles.

One runway at Bradley Airport in Windsor Locks remained open during most of yesterday's storm.

But only about 10% of scheduled passenger flights took off or landed.
