Mass. Coast Dealing With Flooding, Power Outages

(NECN: Jennifer Eagan, Marshfield, Mass.) - Nearly three quarters of Marshfield, Mass. made do without power Monday. NSTAR's president says power may not be restored to the battered town until Thursday night. Robert Veduccio tried to keep his spirits up. "You have to just roll with the punches," he said while igniting his wood burning stove. Temperatures sank down into the 40s in his home.

Utility and tree crews worked in tandem. Dozens of trees came down all over town during the blizzard, tangling with wires.  Tree crews worked to remove a tree trunk resting on wires across Waltham Avenue. Residents on the street have become trapped at times by the mess. "I came back here to check on my home and now I'm stuck here," said Tim Pesko.

Crews want to remind everyone that some wires may have energy coursing through them and they should be considered live.
