Massive Tornado Damages South Dakota Farms

(NECN/Severe Studios: Bowdle, S.D.) - A tornado touched down in a rural area near Bowdle, North Dakota this past weekend.

The massive twister damaged several farms and downed power lines. It was part of a powerful storm system that battered the Great Plains.

Two women in Minot, North Dakota had to be rescued when high waters submerged their cars. Large hail, heavy rain and winds also pounded South Dakota and Nebraska.

A falling tree branch killed a 7-year-old boy in Omaha.
