Officials Say Microburst Hit Tilton, NH

(NECN) - There was quite the clean up effort on Thursday in Tilton, N.H.

The National Weather Service says the storm that rolled through the town on Wednesday apparently resulted in a microburst, knocking down several trees that seriously damaged several homes and vehicles and destroying at least one home.

Officials say an area at least a quarter-mile wide and a half mile long was hit by the microburst.

The clean up could take some time. There are also more than 1,000 power outages being reported in other regions of New Hampshire.
